Short-Term Collaboration and Long-Term Consulting Services
At the Department of Medicine Statistics Core (DOMStat), we offer tailored statistical support for UCLA investigators at all stages of their research projects. Whether you need ongoing, extensive collaboration or occasional consulting, we are here to help you navigate the complexities of data analysis, study design, and statistical methodology.
DOMStat offers a drop-in statistical consulting service supported by UCLA's Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI).

Short-Term Consulting
DOMStat also offers short-term statistical consulting through the CTSI Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) program. This service is perfect for investigators who need focused, brief assistance with statistical analysis but do not require long-term collaboration. Eligible individuals include faculty, clinical instructors, fellows, postdocs, students, research staff, and residents.
Consulting services are available by appointment only. To schedule a Zoom consultation, please contact us via email. Our team can assist with a variety of tasks, including study design, data analysis, statistical modeling, and manuscript preparation.
Note: All projects or publications utilizing UCLA CTSI resources must comply with the NIH Public Access Policy, and you must cite the UCLA CTSI grant and submit to PubMed Central for a PMCID assignment. Additionally, recipients of CTSI services may be asked to complete a brief online survey for our annual NIH progress report.
Long-Term Consulting
For projects requiring sustained statistical input over an extended period, DOMStat offers long-term collaboration options. You can contract a percentage of our skilled personnel's time to work directly with your team throughout the course of your research. This arrangement is ideal for large-scale studies, multi-phase research, or projects that need consistent statistical oversight.
We also provide flexible options for projects with more sporadic or intermittent statistical needs. Whether you have a multi-year project or a study that evolves over time, we can develop a plan that fits your specific needs.
